Mindset and healing work are not for everyone.
At least, not in the way you might expect.
Here’s why…
Many people try a specific approach that works wonders for many — meditation — with a negative effect.
A big example of this is Gary Vaynerchuk.
He has said that when he tried to meditate, it “didn’t go well.”
His explanation?
He found it hard to shut his mind off.
However, he did say that he could argue that he meditates 24/7 “in his own way.”
You may wonder what that means. I did too, until I realized this:
He’s a huge proponent of self-awareness, pursuing YOUR definition of happiness, being kind to others, and having empathy.
His mindset is pretty solid even without the need to meditate.
And still, this is not always the case for everyone. For me, meditation has been a lifesaver.
I will never tell my children, clients, or anyone that life must be done in a specific way.
Instead, I say:
You must discover what works for YOU, and leave everyone else to their own path.
So if someone says you shouldn’t have a morning routine because they don’t need it, it doesn’t mean YOU can’t benefit from having one.
If someone tells you to meditate because XYZ study said it’s beneficial for 85% of participants, yes it’s true, but it doesn’t mean you NEED to meditate.
But what this does mean, is you must find your path.
-Even if it feels like you’re alone.
-Even if it makes you feel like you could be crazy.
-Even if others say you’re doing it “wrong.”
-Even if you’ve tried other methods that didn’t work for you.
In this life, the only time you get off track is when you believe your path must replicate someone else’s.
Now, I’m not going to sit here and say it will be easy.
But somewhere, on a deep, soul level, you knew that already.
And you know what else?
I don’t think you came here for life to be an easy cakewalk.
You came here for mastery. And you don’t become a master by playing life on easy mode or copying everyone else.
That means you will face challenges and encounter obstacles that may seem like they will destroy you.
But I believe in you. I have been there, which led me to the path to becoming a healer.
And for those of you who are facing the challenges — the constant anxiety, sleepless nights, stressful days, worry, fear, and self-doubt — and feeling despair, you are my people.
Anxiety may crop up along the way, and maybe even depression.
I have found that what works best for me to weather any storm, is self-regulation.
If this resonates, I have a workshop on April 23rd to help.
In this workshop, you’ll learn how to:
-Become more aware of your emotional states and triggers.
-Learn techniques to recognize, process, and respond to stressful situations with ease.
-Learn to handle and manage difficult feelings. This can help improve your overall mental and psychological health.
As a bonus, I’ll also include scripts and templates to better communicate boundaries.
