The Great Resignation is here to stay. This article provides a perspective about why that may be the case.

I was walking down the hall at my 9-5 one day, heading for the break room to heat up my lunch, when I suddenly saw a grown man skipping toward me, singing, “It’s a beautiful day in the neighborhood!”

I quickly stepped aside to avoid a collision, but I immediately felt a big smile form across my face. Mr. Rogers was one of my favorite TV shows as a kid.

I had no idea who that man was, but in a sea of sullen faces that mimicked zombies, he was a spark of light and vitality.

I had never before seen anyone that joyful and full of enthusiasm at a job, and it hasn’t happened since.

If you are a millennial or from a younger generation, chances are very high that you are considering leaving your 9-5 job. You may even want to start your own business.

If you have found yourself having thoughts of resigning, you are not alone. A recent article by CNBC stated that 70% of the younger generation is considering taking the leap to start their own business. But before you do that, there are two common myths that most aspiring entrepreneurs have:

The first is that they think they need to find the PERFECT business coach. While finding a great coach is helpful, it’s not a prerequisite for success. You can still achieve your goals without one.

The second myth is the belief that taking ANY action will lead to positive results. Unfortunately, that’s not always the case. Taking action without first aligning your mind, body, and soul is like trying to start a car with AA batteries. You might have some power, but not enough to get the car really going at its top speed.

Taking misaligned action can also be harmful to your self-worth.

Here’s how it works: If you don’t succeed, you may question your self-worth and ability to succeed in the future. It’s important to realize that failure is a part of the journey and doesn’t define your worth.

So, what should you do instead? It’s essential to get out of your head and into your heart, passion, and purpose. The world needs your gifts, and now is YOUR time. If you’re struggling to make this shift, there’s help available. Even though it may be scary to leave your 9-5, you don’t have to jump out the window without a parachute.

The “Great Resignation” is here to say. Workers are no longer seeking job security as the #1 priority. Instead, they are seeking lifestyle freedom, interest, and engaging, fulfilling work.

I am not here to tell you how to make 10k in 30 days with some magic business strategy or tactic. There are tons of business coaches out there for that.

But what I will teach you is how to overcome the biggest obstacle that keeps 80% of aspiring entrepreneurs stuck.

I will help you understand how to master YOU. Your mindset. Your emotions. Your view of risk and how to navigate uncertainty.

To better help prepare yourself mentally and emotionally for the departure, I have created a resource, the 7 Vibrational Shifts You Must Make BEFORE Resigning from Your 9-5. This cheat sheet is available for FREE, and it can guide you in making the necessary shifts in your mindset before taking the leap to start your own business.

Remember, your success is not defined by finding the coveted “pot of Gold.” Rather, the new definition of success is determined by how fulfilling and engaged you are in work. That comes with finding – and living – your purpose. Click the link below to get started on your path along the Great Resignation.

  • Finding ourselves and being true to who we are is the ultimate quest in life. It's not about finding the perfect relationship, but about finding our own purpose and sharing our light with the world. Many of us hold back from pursuing our dreams because of self-doubt and fear of judgment. But here's the truth: you are enough, you are worthy, and you are lovable just as you are. Embrace your core identity and unleash your power. There's no imposter syndrome when you realize that no one else can be you. So go ahead, be your authentic self, and watch the magic unfold. If you have a hard time doing that, shoot me a DM and let's chat, or you can visit http://kiaraperkins.com for your free breakthrough session. #FindYourself #EmbraceYourPower #BeAuthentic
  • We've been conditioned to seek validation from external sources, whether it's to get good grades, please others, or seek recognition. But it's time for a mindset shift! One way is to learn from little kids who naturally know how to fulfill their cup from within. If you need help with this, shoot me a DM with the word "love" and I'll give you some actionable strategies to shift.
  • If you’re one to beat up on yourself, or feel like you’ll finally be good enough once you reach that next milestone or achievement, you just might be in a toxic relationship with yourself 😆

If you’re ready to heal this, I’m hosting a free workshop in my private group tomorrow.

  • Validation starts from within. Instead of seeking external approval, focus on self-discovery and personal development. Find what fills your cup and nourishes you from the inside out. For me, it's reading, writing, and embracing self-care. When I neglect these activities, I notice a shift in my demeanor and interactions with others. Let's prioritize our own well-being to avoid unintentionally impacting those around us. #ValidationStartsFromWithin #SelfDiscovery #PersonalDevelopment
